Believe it or not, the hairy body style on men in general has moved out, and then back into style countless times over the years. In fact it was the ancient Egyptians who thousands of years ago first practiced the custom of clean shaving virtually every hair off of themselves. Then the disco era arrived.
Back then out on the dance floor well groomed mustaches adorned mens upper lips, and gold chains decorated hairy chests. Disco ladies dressed in tight clothes with puffed up hairdos, just loved a handsome man that had plenty of hair to run their fingers through.
Slowly though over the course of the past decades the winds of change began to blow. Perhaps it was the increasing popularity of sports like biking, and swimming, or just personal preference. Either way, the new look that has come into style is hairless skin on men.
So the new look is shaved chests, backs, arms and even legs on men and seeing how men have taken to it so, one can only guess that it will be around for some time. The good news though, is that they aren’t fully reliant on razors, or like the Egyptians, shaving with a sharpened stone.
So now the prospect of epilation brings with it a much larger number of options. Sure things like razors, and hair removal cream products remain relatively inexpensive. However, newer systems that use laser and intense pulsed light technologies do cost substantially more.
These new cream epilation products do their job by literally dissolving and softening the hair shafts to the point where they can be simply wiped, or scraped off. So how do they do it? The fact is that they do it with the very same caustic substance that comes in common drain cleaner.
So as it stands today, several new systems including laser for epilation have been developed to meet the increased consumer demand. Demand for products and systems that are not just more convenient but also new systems that do a better job of it, and even do so permanently.
Now waxing has been around for some years now and over the course of time new smoother, stickier, non burning coatings have been developed to take some of the burn out of it. There is just no getting around it though, and that is when the hair is “ripped out”, it hurts.
Through it all what both men and women who are interested in hair removal need to keep in mind, is that as of yet there is no system for “permanent” hair removal. Now newer systems like laser and IPL hair removal can knock it back for ten years or so, but it will eventually grow back.
