Permanent Hair Removal: Know Your High Tech Options

Before you read any further you need to understand one thing, and that is that as of yet there really is no such thing as permanent hair removal. Sound a bit confusing? Well don’t worry because all of the electronic systems that are marketed for it do in fact work. So now are you even more confused now?

The real issue here, is that hair roots that lie below the skin just aren’t easily killed off. In fact they hang on for dear life, so what so called permanent hair removal systems really do, is induce them to become stunted. They are in a real sense temporarily killed off, but then they grow back as a kind of tiny “peach fuzz” that breaks off at the surface.

Also it’s a little known fact that men who lose all of their hair never really lose any of it, and that of course includes men with skin-heads. Believe it because every hair shaft is still 100% alive but they are so tiny and weak that the hair that they produce is so slim that it breaks off as soon as it grows beyond the skins surface.

Now there is a lot of confusion out there about laser hair removal, and intense pulsed light hair removal that’s sometimes referred to a IPL hair removal, and the confusion revolves around what separates the two. So then what is the difference, and is one safer then the other because the term laser does sound a little scary?

The simple answer, is that the fact is that they are one in the same. You see the term laser applies to a wide range of types of concentrated light systems, and in all hair removal system that use them it’s applied in short bursts or pulses. Also by the way it’s a very effective system.

Electrolysis has been around for decades, and in fact was the first of the high tech permanent hair removal systems to be offered. With electrolysis no light is used. Instead a tiny needle is inserted down into the hair shaft, and the follicle is then killed with a controlled electronic jolt.

So just what are the differences between these two types of treatments aside from the fact that one uses light and the other doesn’t? A few of them are that electrolysis sessions do last substantially longer, require more treatments. However; they are cheaper, and there’s no risk of burning.
